As we continue to develop our skills, resources and facilities, so we are able to offer a unique approach to high precision, low volume parts – it’s an approach that’s winning us high-profile projects with clients such as key defence and aerospace clients.
The first project consisted of several aluminium components fitting together to create a very high precision assembly. We manufactured two prototype sets that are now on test before going into full production.
The second project concerned stainless steel rings turned and CNC milled in a very short lead time. The components were part of a package for the end customer; their supplier was not confident they could make the high precision rings in the very tight deadline so we were called in to supply these key parts in a timely fashion.
“Other suppliers often struggle to manage this type of work, as it can be challenging and affect the schedules of more traditional, higher-volume projects,” explains Knight’s Tony Short. “However at Knight Precision Tooling we hold customer satisfaction in higher regard than anything else and are proud to have been able to take on such challenging projects for such prestigious clients.
